Cyanotype on wood
Navigating photography in a world so oversaturated with photographs lead me into alternate processes, seeing what I could do with my images to make them feel more meaningful to me. Not only did cyanotype allow me to do this, it allowed me to create a photograph beyond my computer screen, a photographic object. Cyanotype on wood is a series of two self-portrait images, both printed as negatives and positives. They play with light and movement, along with the comfort and discomfort of surrounding environments. The movement of my faded presence explores the disconnect between my being and home.
